Nia's All Natural Cosmetics

Hello chicas!!!

It's been a while since I posted here.... but I'm back!!!
I've been meaning to post this last week, but my daughter and I got the cold and flu at the same time!! Thank God we are all good now.

I have several of  Nia's All Natural Cosmetics polishes, and indie line established in Virginia.

Well, I just ordered some polishes and the shipping was pretty fast.

First I have "Candy Corn" this is the coolest thermal I have owned. It changes from yellow when hot to orange when cold. This is a jelly polish that you could use as a topper. I used three thin coats to show the colors of it by its own, without any undies and/or top coat.

Second is "Blueberry Pop" this is a rich blue with shimmer on it, is so pretty. The application of this is so smooth, and if you do it even with one coat you could really go with one coat. But like I mentioned before I like to do two ;) this is with no top coat .

Third is "Frozen Blue" this is a metallic light blue with round blue glitter. This swatch is two thin coats, I liked that you don't have to be fishing for the glitter; every stroke leaves enough glitter. The color and texture of it, reminds me of the Frozen movie. I think this is where Quannette was going when she made this polish.

Fourth is "Lemon Pop" a bright yellow with shimmer on it. The application is smooth and the pigment just right, this swatch is two thin coats with no topcoat.

Fifth is "Pink or Nah" a pink polish meant to support the breast cancer awareness. It is a orange-y pink, also with shimmer. beautiful! formula perfect. this is two thin coats with no topcoat.

Sixth is "Bubbly Champange" is a orange jelly with neon glitter. This one with every stroke left enough glitter over the nail.  For this one I used one coat and top coated.

Last is "I Love America" this is a white shimmer with blue, white and red heart shaped glitter.  In this one I did had to fish for the glitter, I could only get blue and red out of the bottle.

This are some pretty polishes, can't wait to see what Quannette has for us next!!!! Make sure to go stop by her shop and/or order online.  Nia's All Natural Cosmetics she even has the option to order online and pick it up at her store, cool huh?!

My Dream Polish base and top coat

hello!!

Since I moved closer to my mom, I get to do her nails every now and then. She is actually the one who has helped me get better at my cuticle care and how to do a proper clean mani. I still have a lot more to learn, but, going back to my mom, she took cosmetology in Mexico on her high school years, so she pretty much knows how to do mani the 'old style'. I remember her, from my childhood ,that she always had long, red, and shiny nails. Anyways!! life happened (5 kids) and she couldn't do her nails as often. But she could still manage to do her manicure, keep those nails long and strong!!

You are probably asking why am I been so nostalgic, well.... yesterday (Nov 18) was her birthday and I am very thankful to God that I still get to see her and spend time with this amazing woman. And just when I thought I have learned everything this woman could have taught me, she amazes me with more and more!!! anyways.....

I did her nails last week, and I used my usual products to do her nails; and in those are included My Dream Polish 'smooth gem base coat' and 'gem glam top coat'. like I said before, she had 5 kids and ever since she has been a 'stay-at-home-mom' that means she does cleaning, wash dishes (by hand), laundry, and occasionally showering my two precious daughters. So this means that manis do not last that much. My point here is that this awesome products made my mom's mani last 4 days, without chipping!!!! the only reason she had to take this mani off, is because her nails grow very fast; and she doesn't like the gap that happens between the polish and her cuticle when they grow.  But other than that and a little wear on the tips, her mani was as shiny and complete as the first day. Here are a couple of pictures to show you what I am taking about.

I did a little review on the base coat not too long ago on my Instagram. Showing the difference of my nail with and without the base coat. This base coat fills the ridges on your nail bed, making them smooth, and it also makes them thicker/stronger, and the bonus part is that it makes your mani last longer. The top coat, is also a big 'must' on your stash of polishes, because it dries quick, it boost the shine on your glitter manis and makes them smooth with one coat; it also boosts the holo on the holographic polishes and not only that but it also helps the shifting of colors on the multichrome polishes. And I have seen that My Dream Polish has different scents on them, she also carries cuticle oils and blams, also scented.

Just to clear some stuff out, I am doing this review to show and share my results with this brand that I find awesome. And didn't want to keep it to myself, I know what a struggle is to find a top and base coat that meets you expectations (I've been there). So to make your life easier I share this.... hope you enjoyed reading this post and that you find it helpful. Have a great day!!!!

Enchanted Polish

Hello Ladies!!

Today I have swatches for the Enchanted Polish I got yesterday.

August 2014, I love this color, but it is hard to capture it shifting. It looks purple and shifts to green and has like a gold shimmer, is just beautiful.
Next is September 2014. this is a pink with scattered holo. It shines awesome!
And last is October 2014. This is a dark green-brown-ish color. It is SO fall, this one also has some scatter holo on it. It dries kind of matte, but when I applied the top coat it shined and showed the beautiful fall color.

Well ladies, this is all I have for today.... have a wonderful weekend!!!

Virtuous Polish "7 virtues"

Ok girls!  I have not posted anything during this weekend because we went to visit my in-laws to Pflugerville, TX.  I was planning to post this review on Saturday, but I just couldn't.
Anyways! This is a new indie line called "Virtuous Polish" and their first collection is called 'Seven Virtues' This whole collection is beautiful, I'm just in  love with it. Every polish has a lot of pigment and they dry matte. But as every matte polish, every stroke has to be even. This to prevent the double stroke and make it get uneven. Like I said earlier, this are a very pigmented polishes, so you could really go with one coat. But I like to do two coats. They dry to a very velvety matte finish! It is so beautiful that you don't want to top-coated ;)

The colors are very 'in' for this fall/winter ...... ok, with that said, let the swatching begin!!!!

The first polish to review from this collection is Temperance. This is a gorgeous blue-ish purple-ish color, that it just has to be the first to be swatched!!
Next is Chastity, this is a bright yellow. I like the color, but it sure doesn't compliment my skin color. It makes me look darker
The following color is Diligence, is a neon orange. Beautiful, but hard to capture the true color.
The fourth color is Patience, another neon color. A very bright and beautiful pink.
Fifth color is Humility, a deep purple. This is a purple color, very hard to capture the true color.
The sixth color is Kindness. This is a green color, just perfect for fall.
And the last color is Charity. This one is a color between green and blue.

I like everything about this new indie line. The colors are perfect, the application is very easy and smooth. And when they dry you'll surely fall in love with them more and more!!
But my favorite one is Temperance.
Comment your favorite color.

Hello!

First of all, I would like to thank you to take the time to read my post... Let me introduce myself, my name is, Jahmai. Currently living in Texas, just a mom of two princesses that loves to do nails.

I first started doing nail art around October of 2013. This has been a very exciting journey and experience, and would like to share it with y'all. I still consider myself as a beginner, and have a lot more stuff to learn.
At the moment I just do nail art on my natural nails; my plan is to learn to do acrylic and gel nails, and learn more techniques for more nail art.

I am very excited to share this all I learn with y'all..... Please stay tuned for upcoming tutorials and/or reviews of new polishes......

Sincerely,
Jahmy
